The theme for this year’s Veterans Day Parade is LAND OF THE FREE / HOME OF THE BRAVE, in honor of the 200th Anniversary of the writing of the “Star Spangled Banner” (1814 ~ 2014).The parade will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 beginning at 11:15 a.m. and lasting until approximately 3:30 p.m.A number of veterans are scheduled to visit local schools on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The veterans will be present in services at the schools and available to speak with the students. This is the time that we can honor the people who sacrificed in the wartime.The following lessons, activities, games, and resources will help your students celebrate service men and women past and present.
